Grafe A+ items are new, still in the original packaging. Not too much to explain here. If we post a listing and indicate the item is Grade A+ we guarantee it is an unused item. Sometimes, the military orders too many of an item or the item is no longer needed by the military for whatever reason. The item may have been manufactured several years ago.
Our Quality Control Department considers Grade A to be new, unused items not in the packaging. There are several indicators such as the vibrancy of color, the condition of the label, the vibrancy of the ink on the label and/or the printing of "US" on the item, the stiffness of the material, or the binding of straps that indicate non-use.

When it comes to our Grade B+ items, we're talkin' about gear that's been gently used, maybe once or twice, but still looks and feels like new. We're talkin' minimal wear, minimal discoloration - this is top-notch stuff. Our team evaluates these items based on three key factors: stiffness, color, and the condition of that sewn-on product
When it comes to our Grade B+ items, we're talkin' about gear that's been gently used, maybe once or twice, but still looks and feels like new. We're talkin' minimal wear, minimal discoloration - this is top-notch stuff. Our team evaluates these items based on three key factors: stiffness, color, and the condition of that sewn-on product label. When we list an item and give it a Grade B+, we guarantee you will barely be able to tell it has been used.
Grade B items at Tough Guyz Gear means they have been used and you can tell. However, these items show little wear, stains, discoloring, or dirt. They've been used but still in great shape. As with other grades, we adjust the price accordingly.
Grade B- items are the incremental steps down from their Grade B counterparts, with only the slightest of imperfections todifferentiatet them. You might notice more discoloring, a faint hint of wear, some threads may be ever so slightly loose, but not to the point where it compromises the structural integrity of the item . rather than a full-blown unraveling. And the tag? Well, it may have acquired a few wrinkles, like the creases on a well-handled letter, but it still retains its essential crispness. These subtle deviations from perfection are what set Grade B- items apart, a minor diminution in quality that's still well within the realm of 'excellent' - a nuanced distinction that's almost, but not quite, imperceptible.
Grade C+, C, and C- - these items tell a story of their own, bearing the battle scars of everyday life. You'll notice the patina of age, the softening of colors, the whispers of dirt and stains that have become a part of their character. The tags, once crisp and proud, now wear the wrinkles of time, like the lines on a well-worn book. It's as if these items have been broken in, like a favorite pair of jeans, and have developed a comfortable, lived-in look that says, 'I've been around the block a few times, but I've still got plenty of life left in me.' They may not be perfect, but they've got a certain charm, a certain... let's call it 'character' - the kind that comes from being well-loved, well-used, and well-worn.
We do not sell Grade D items, we give them away. Sometimes we will attempt to wash them but if they are still significantly discolored or dirty, we attempt to find people who might find some use for it. We may, from time to time, offer these for free during a promotion. We will guarantee that free items are Grade D.
The Quality Control Department at Tough Guyz Gear - it's a team that embodies the highest level of rigor and perfectionism. These guyz are tasked with the critical mission of inspecting every single item that comes into our warehouse. And I'm not exaggerating when I say that they're meticulous - we're talking about a team that's obsessed with getting it right, down to the last detail. The process is straightforward, yet brutally efficient. Each item is carefully examined, poked, and prodded to determine its condition. The grading system is similarly uncompromising: A+ is the holy grail - new in packaging, untouched and unblemished. A is the next best thing - new, but without the packaging. And then it's a gradual descent into the realm of "used", with B+, B, B-, C, each grade representing a slightly more weathered, yet still serviceable, item.
